A Week, Post Half

It’s been a week since I ran my first half-marathon, and I have not been for a run since.  I know I should have gone for a run, but I’ve been a bit emotional and tired this week. So after I pack H’s daycare bag, I’ll pack my running bag.  I also really need to focus on my diet, as B and I have been eating out a lot recently.  So I made some Kai Si Ming, my recipe is lean beef/cabbage/onions/seasonings, and is plenty to get me through for a few days.
I also went a little mad in the grocery store, getting fixins for spinach and black bean enchiladas, crockpot meals, and lots of Greek yogurt for healthy snacks.  I’m also highly addicted to Skinny Girl lime and sea salt popcorn. Oh…Yum.  One of the running coaches I follow wrote a blog about running in a calorie deficit, so I think it’s time to revisit the theory that I CAN eat very well, while eating less and losing weight.  We’ll see how it goes!
