A Bit of Gratitude, No Attitude

I’m standing in the parking lot at work, waiting for the shuttle.  Running bag on the ground at my feet, packed full of tech gear and food.  And it strikes me just how fortunate I am.  I’m fortunate to have enough food, to have a home, a car, an expendable income for luxuries like a cell phone and cable, to have an amazing husband and family, to have a healthy little boy, to have time to run!  I have been given the gift of being able to choose to give a child up for adoption, and to be able to see pictures of him flourishing.  I have been granted much by God.
I have a job.  Even better?  I have a job that I like. I like the fact that I help the midwives prepare mothers for the arrival of these precious people.  It’s an honor to be a part of it all.
And, guess what.  I get to go running tonight.
What blessings do you have?
